Living With Respect
AL-MANSUR is first of all a home, not a hotel. Everyone is expected to treat people, animals, objects, and spaces with care: no stealing, no aggressive behaviour, no harassment, and no invading others’ privacy. The community reserves the right to ask anyone to leave if their attitude harms the place or the group (what Fernando calls “P&P – Predators & Parasites”).
Work & Contribution
Volunteering here is a non‑monetary exchange: you offer around 25 hours of help per week and, in return, receive accommodation, shared organic meals, and learning opportunities on the land. Punctuality, reliability, and clear communication about your energy, skills, and limits are essential, especially during busy seasons when the farm depends on everyone showing up as agreed.
Substances, Quiet & Safety
The project promotes a healthy, conscious lifestyle, so hard drugs and abusive alcohol use are not accepted on the property. Quiet hours and respect for shared spaces (kitchen, bathrooms, living room, terraces) help everyone rest and feel safe; equipment, tools, and farm infrastructure must be used carefully and put back in their place after use.
Minimum Stay & Leaving Early
The minimum stay is generally 4 weeks to allow time to understand the ethos of AL-MANSUR and build real connections, with a usual maximum of around 2 months unless a longer‑term role is agreed together. If someone cannot adapt to the rules or community life, or repeatedly breaks agreements, it can be requested that they leave before the planned end of their stay for the wellbeing of the group.

I had a great time there, i meet realy good people, open mind, the host was a Nice person, the ONLY problem is that the farm is the distance from the city, of course this can be a good thing, but every weekend the host can take you to the city. Sometimes crazy people can enjoy…

My stay at Al-Mansur was better than i ever could imagen! From day one I was very well welcomed and the Al-Mansur family is genuin, loving and nonjudgemental. I have had the best time at the farm, learning a lot about animals, farming, sustainability and how to live in peace with nature. The amazing people I met at the farm has inspired me, each in their own ways. I have loved haning out at the roof watching the stars, swimming in the lake, dog walking, cooking and talking about life! There is so much to say about this amazing place and the freeing, peaceful and warm energy this place holds🌻☀️
I spent a month at Al-Mansur and can truly recommend it to anyone looking to immerse themselves in farm life. You will spend time with amazing people, animals and yourself, learning a lot. If not about farming skills, then about life. It really is one of those special places you don’t come across often and it became my temporary home, to which I hope to return one day.
There is something magical in the air at Al-Mansur. The folks I met during my stay are nothing short of some of the best people I’ve known. The farm is remote, so going into town is rare, but it’s in such a beautiful spot and everyone gets along like family, it truly feels like home. The work is different every day, so you’ll never be bored! There’s always a new adventure/’side quest’ to help with, whether it’s with the animals, gardening, cleaning, electricity, water usage, or anything else that may come up. The community is such a magical place where you feel right at home. This is a real community where everyone learns from each other and everyone contributes! I can only say positive things about my stay. Everything was organized and cleaned regularly, the farm is beautiful and a dream for cat lovers. The work is easy and fun as you are working with other volunteers. The work hours were respected and the weather was always calculated so you don’t have to work while it rains! I would recommend this experience to everyone who just wants to relax in nature:)
