The Circle of Fire is where we set up our bonfires, barbecues, or simply gather to enjoy the last bits of the winter sun. One of our New Year’s traditions is lighting a big bonfire and celebrating with singing and dancing around it. In an emergency, the spot can also be used for outdoor cooking—although keeping the food safe from our cats is an entirely different challenge in itself.
